Concentrated
stretch mark product
becomes anti-wrinkle phenomenon. |
|
In an
unusual turn of events, women across North America and
Europe are turning to a stretch mark product for their face.
In a
recent survey, over 60% of Striaex sales were for
facial anti-aging purposes. "Customer
response has been incredible", says NAC
Biochemist Kerry Stevens, "NAC Labs is busier
than ever and we often can't keep up to the
overwhelming demand".
So how does it work? Similar to
stretch marks, facial signs of aging such as
sagging of the skin, wrinkles and loss of skin
elasticity form when there is a deficiency of
collagen and elastin. All Striaex products
have a special ingredient in them known as Strioxyl-10,
which increases the level of
collagen and elastin. During clinical
trials, Strioxyl-10 at just 0.1% increased
collagen / elastin by 33%.
Appearance of wrinkle depth, complexity and volume diminished
dramatically by 43% in 78% of volunteers.

How Was the Striaex Formula
Discovered? |
Ironically, Striaex Anti-stretch Mark, Anti-wrinkle and Acne Scar
products were formulated after a popular NAC
anti-wrinkle cream. The science behind NAC's
popular anti-wrinkle cream was based on an active
compound known as Phylastin, which works
extremely well at reducing the appearance of crow's feet, fine lines and
wrinkles. Little did the researchers at NAC know
that Phylastin would turn out to be key in the discovery
of an even more amazing cosmetic ingredient.

An NAC
researcher had recently returned from maternity leave
and had taken some anti-wrinkle samples home to use on
her newly acquired stretch marks. She was shocked
when after only a few weeks the appearance of her stretch marks had begun
to disappear. Clinical trials were conducted
immediately on stretch marks using Phylastin
anti-wrinkle samples. "The results
astonished all of us", says Kerry, "by
this time we had concluded that it was the Phylastin in
the anti-wrinkle cream that had been causing such
dramatic fading in the appearance of color and bulk of stretch marks".
Since stretch marks are much more severe
damage than that of lines and wrinkles found on the
face, NAC worked on coming up with an ultra-concentrated
version of Phylastin. Using the latest advances in
Peptide Cosmetics, Peptone Technology and Lysates, NAC
researchers isolated Phylastin until it was in its most
concentrated form. This ultra-concentrated version of Phylastin was further modified into a formula consisting
of 10 skin targeting components now known as
Strioxyl-10. Strioxyl-10 is the key
ingredient now used in Striaex Anti Stretch Mark
formulas and is the ingredient responsible for such
dramatic anti-aging properties seen by Striaex
Eye
Cream customers. The latest addition to the
Striaex line is an
acne
scar cream which works extremely well on
reducing the appearance of various types of acne scars. It has become a
customer favorite and is often out of stock due to high
demand.
